SM&A;’s Chief Financial Officer Resigns Amid Reorganization

SM&A; Corp., a Newport Beach management services firm, said Friday that its chief financial officer, Ed Beeman, has resigned to pursue other interests. The company’s president, Michael Piraino, will take on Beeman’s duties in the interim. SM&A; said in a press release that it also will create two new positions, chief information officer and treasurer, as it reorganizes its operations. The company said it has completed the reorganization of two units and has seen improvements in systems and reporting structure, which have yielded gains in productivity.
