Comarco Posts Record 4th-Quarter Earnings

Santa Ana-based Comarco Inc., a provider of wireless communications products, reported record earnings for its fourth quarter and fiscal year ended Jan. 31.

Net income for the fourth quarter doubled to $2 million, or 40 cents a share, from $1 million, or 18 cents a share. Revenue rose 9% to $24 million from $22.1 million. For the year, net income was $5.7 million, or $1.13 a share, 16% higher than the $4.9 million, or 89 cents a share, posted the prior fiscal year. Revenue increased 8% to $92 million from $85.1 million. The company said last year’s results reflect an $800,000 charge related to the write-off of a discontinued software product.
