Actress’ Guns Unrelated to Columbine Shooting

It’s difficult to understand the reasoning behind Sharon Stone’s decision to give up her guns (Morning Report, May 22). What do her guns have to do with the safety of people such as the students killed or injured at Columbine or Heritage high schools?
Maybe she felt that she wasn’t able to secure them as well as guns need to be secured. Also, she has opened the door to her own “fear and anger” when she realizes that, when she needs them, the guns won’t be there.
There is no comparison between what happened in Columbine and the possession of firearms by law-abiding citizens.
