TIGHT ENDS: THE BEST

* 1. BUBBA FRANKS, Miami, 6-5, 265--The only tight end in the draft who can block, catch and run. A Pro Bowl-caliber athlete.

* Where he’s going: First round for sure. The Jets or Bears would like to have him.

2. AUSTIN WHEATLEY, Iowa, 6-3, 254--Has moved up after impressive workout in front of pro scouts. An overgrown receiver with good speed for his size. Perfect for a West Coast offense.

* Where he’s going: Probably in second or third round.

3. ANTHONY BECHT, West Virginia, 6-5, 270--Poor blocker with soft hands. Runs routes well but plows over defenders instead of evading tackles.

* Where he’s going: Projects to second or third round.

2. AARON SHEA, Michigan, 6-4, 253--A good receiver who could have more of a future as a tight end. Poor blocker.

* Where he’s going: Fifth round.

3. DEON DYER, North Carolina, 5-10, 260--Big and powerful player who should make an effective lead blocker. Don’t look for anyone on this list to make the Hall of Fame.

* Where he’s going: Fifth round.
