The Planning Commission voted unanimously Monday to deny a proposal to increase the number and size of signs on the exterior walls of the mall that face Crown Valley Parkway and Interstate 5.
Donald Paskewitz, senior vice president for Kaleidoscope developer Samsung Pacific Construction, asked the commission to allow every tenant at least one sign and to permit Island’s, El Torito Grill and the future Yard House--the three large restaurants anchoring the center--to put up large signs on the Crown Valley side.
In denying the request, commissioners said they would consider future proposals for smaller modifications to the sign restrictions.
