The City Council has selected four locations for a new civic center, slated to be built by 2007.
The council last week approved a master plan that includes the new civic center, which would house all city departments, now spread out in various locations.
The possible sites include: Avenida Presidio, the site of City Hall; Avenida Del Mar and El Camino Real downtown; Vista Hermosa and Avenida La Pata; and North Beach at Avenida Pico and El Camino Real.
