Highland catcher Daniel Champieux is expected to play today in a Golden League baseball showdown against Palmdale.
Champieux, out since March 17 with a strained ligament in his right knee, will play first base for the Bulldogs.
John Santor, who moved from third base to catcher after Champieux’s injury, will remain at catcher against Palmdale, Coach Mike Van Cheri said.
Highland (9-3, 5-1) leads the league by a half-game over Palmdale (10-4, 4-1).
