Newbury Park 2, Moorpark 1--Oli Keohohou’s double scored Kamala Kiffe from second with the winning run in the eighth inning for the Panthers (12-5, 5-4) in a Marmonte League game at Moorpark.
Tara Barker of Moorpark (4-10, 0-7) was attempting to intentionally walk Keohohou. But with a 1-and-0 count and one out, Keohohou swatted a high-and-away pitch.
Keohohou had three hits, making her 11 for her last 12.
La Reina 8, St. Bonaventure 0--La Reina’s Kristen Ward pitched a one-hitter, striking out eight and walking one, in a Tri-Valley League game at St. Bonaventure.
Shannon Fink’s single with two out in the seventh broke up Ward’s no-hitter.
Ward and Mackenzie Vandergeest hit home runs for La Reina (10-4, 5-0).
Kennedy 1, San Fernando 0--Ryane Montes pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and Kristin Cookson scored on an error for the Golden Cougars (15-3, 6-0) in a Valley Mission League game at Kennedy.
Poly 8, Canoga Park 1--Sophomore Roseanne Frias hit a two-run home run to highlight a five-run second inning and Sonia Torres pitched a two-hitter for the Parrots (7-10, 4-2) in a Sunset Six League victory at Poly.
L.A. Baptist 13, Pasadena Marshall 1--Susie Kabanuck pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts for the Knights (4-7, 1-1) in an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist.
Kabanuck (3-6) had four hits, including a two-run triple and run-scoring double.
Quartz Hill 8, Antelope Valley 0--Mandy Ricker and Kellie Cox combined on a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts, and Cassie Corless hit an RBI double and scored twice for the Rebels (11-5, 2-0) in a Golden League game at Quartz Hill.
Lancaster 13, Palmdale 8--Tara Jensen had two two-run home runs, a double and six RBIs for the Eagles in a Golden League victory at Lancaster.
Briana Laux hit a two-run home run and Sarah Ruben had a solo shot for Lancaster (10-8, 2-0).
