After finishing practice Friday, Kings’ winger Luc Robitaille rushed from Joe Louis Arena to visit with an old friend. “I’m going to see Bruce McNall,” Robitaille said quietly. McNall, the former King owner, has been moved to a federal prison about 50 miles from Detroit to continue serving his sentence for bank fraud and conspiracy. Unlike most of the Kings, Robitaille has maintained contact with McNall. “That’s the kind of guy [Robitaille] is,” a King source said.

The Kings probably will continue to play defenseman Jaroslav Modry instead of Aki Berg in Game 2.
