FOUNTAIN VALLEY

The Fountain Valley High School football team is hosting its 16th annual Run for the Roses on April 30. The 5K run/walk and 1K Junior Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. at Mile Square Regional Park. Free parking will be available at the Heil Avenue and Brookhurst Street entrance. Refreshments will be served.

Registration ranges from $5 to $25. Fees vary, depending on the event, early registration and option of receiving a T-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the school’s athletic programs.

Silky Sullivan’s restaurant will host a pre-race pasta feed from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Cost to runners is $5. The restaurant is at 10201 Slater Ave.
