The Police Department’s DARE vehicle has a new paint job that is turning heads. The formerly white car is now candy red and sports the DARE-logo lion astride a skateboard on the hood. The 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse recently won first place in the vehicle show competition at a DARE conference in Long Beach. It will be displayed at the Police Department’s open house May 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
