They’re Swearing, but Not Allegiance to Kings
- Share via
The Kings, in what is becoming a tradition, roll over and play dead in the playoffs. They get swept. They can’t score a power-play goal (while giving up a bunch because of stupid penalties).
Not only do they manage to never take a lead in any game of the series, they are unable to pull even, once the Red Wings score. Tell me again why King fans are supposed to look forward to the playoffs?

Two years ago, a marginally talented King team committed undisciplined penalties, could not kill a penalty if their lives depended on it and could not convert on the power play if their lives depended on it.
This year, a more talented team committed undisciplined penalties, could not kill a penalty if their lives depended on it and could not convert on the power play if their lives depended on it.
Outside of firing a good man (and excellent coach), what have the Kings accomplished this time with a more experienced and talented team?
