The Cypress High School Athletic Boosters will receive a donation of $448 from the city that will most likely be used to provide security services for a Cinco de Mayo fund-raising event.
At the City Council meeting Monday, members voted 4 to 1 in favor of donating the money and didn’t specify a use. Booster members said they will use the money to pay for four security officers at the event, being held May 6.
