The Police Department will hold the seventh annual Police Awards Banquet tonight, recognizing the milestones and achievements of city police officers.
Police officials will award the Chief’s Citation to five outstanding detectives, as well as outstanding behavior awards and tenure pins to other officers.
Since 1993, the Police Department has honored its members with a banquet as a way to point out individual accomplishments and officers as a whole.
The banquet begins at 6 p.m. at the Community Services Center’s Grand Ballroom. The Community Services Center is located at 101 W. La Habra Blvd. Information: (562) 905-9750.
