Those trees uprooted near Staples Center to deprive convention vandals of potential firewood will be replaced, says City Hall. The 21 London plane trees removed from along Figueroa and 11th streets had been planted only 12 to 18 months earlier. Trees of identical species and size will be planted very soon, now that the convention is over, officials said.
