Billy Graham Is Released From Clinic
Evangelist Billy Graham has been released from the Mayo clinic in Minneapolis after undergoing a procedure to adjust a shunt inserted earlier this year to relieve fluid on his brain, his spokesman said. Graham, 82, has made good progress since entering the clinic earlier this month and was looking forward to spending the holidays at home in North Carolina. Over the summer, Graham spent 13 weeks recovering after the shunt was inserted in June to relieve fluid on the brain that was affecting his balance. Graham has been receiving treatment for years for Parkinson’s disease, a degenerative brain condition. But he has continued to preach and conduct his Christian crusades, including one in Nashville this summer.
