Guns and Responsibility

Re “Make Art Not War,” Feb. 10.
With respect to Disraely Ramirez’s anti-gun billboard that says, “Can You See The Bullet?”: The message following that headline is well-intentioned but, as is so often the case with the anti-gun mentality, it blames an inanimate object for violence.
I could handle the message a lot better if the following text was inserted into the last sentence: “If you or someone in your family own a gun, please think of what your irresponsible or careless use of that gun can do to an innocent life.”
I’ve never met a gun yet that did anything to anybody all by itself.
