One-Stop Web Site Offers Networking Tool for Latino Businesses

Hispanic Business Inc. has launched a full-service Web site for Latino entrepreneurs and job seekers as well as the corporations vying to market to them.
The Santa Barbara-based publisher of Hispanic Business Magazine and SuperOnda, a teen magazine, consolidated several sites and enhanced its content to offer “a one-stop shop for information, breaking news and market research data on the [Latino] community and to provide services,” Hispanic Business new media manager Abel Magana said.
“It’s really a platform for small- and medium-sized Hispanic businesses to come together to network,” Magana said of the site (https:www.hispanicbusiness.com), which rolls out a chat and message board this week.
Site visitors now have access to the magazine’s lists of top Latino businesses and influential leaders, daily updated news affecting Latino enterprises, career resources, stock quotes and market research on the Latino consumer and business markets.
Among the network of Hispanic Business sites hosted are HireDiversity.com, which provides resources on multicultural workplace issues; HispanTelligence, which sells research data on the Latino market; FederalGuide.com, which provides access to government programs and resources; and SuperOnda.com, for youth information.
Initiatives in the work include business-to-business tools that will allow Latino entrepreneurs to pool together for purchasing and procurement.
