Just Didn’t Get It

Because of The Times’ review of E! Entertainment’s “Best Actress,” I almost missed one of the more entertaining TV movies of the year (“ ‘Best Actress’ Doesn’t Fit the Satire Role,” by Steven Linan, March 18). According to your reviewer this was one of the worst films ever produced. Apparently he didn’t understand that it was meant to be a very campy comedy and not a documentary.
He should have been tipped off by one of the movies funniest lines, a reference to Patrick Swayze’s performance in “Ghost” delivered by a character who was also portraying a ghost. Fortunately, TV Guide’s reviewer understood the concept of the film and gave it a 7 on a scale of 10, which was just about right.
