The City Council will likely pass an ordinance today that will allow it to form a separate Planning Commission by early summer. The council has acted as the community’s planning agency since becoming a city in January.
The commission will be made up of five residents, each serving a two-year term. The main function of the commission will be to advise the City Council on issues of planning and land use.
