Pacific Symphony plans to host at least two more festivals devoted mostly to American composers, according to symphony president director John E. Foryste.
A “Dvorak in America” festival, to be held in the spring of 2002, will focus on the Czech composer, who wrote his “New World Symphony” while in the United States. The festival will include several of his American contemporaries.
Discussions also are underway with Pulitzer Prize winner William Bolcom for a spring 2003 festival.
