Cal Lutheran Plans Homecoming Events

Cal Lutheran University will celebrate its homecoming with a weekend of events Oct. 20-22.
The festivities will start with an annual golf tournament at Sterling Hills Golf Course in Camarillo on Oct. 20, followed by a campus carnival and bonfire at Kingsmen Park that evening. The college will also mark the official start of its basketball season with a “Midnight Madness” game from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Oct. 21, the activities will continue with a Class of 1970 reunion at the home of a local graduate, and an alumni art exhibit at the campus’ Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture.
Following lunch in Kingsmen Park, the football team will battle the LaVerne Leopards at Mt. Clef Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
The day will conclude with an all-alumni dinner and awards ceremony celebrating the classes of ‘65, ‘70, ‘75, ‘80, ‘85, ’90 and ’95 at the Palm Garden Hotel in Thousand Oaks.
On Oct. 22, an all-university worship service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the college’s Samuelson Chapel.
