Canary Island date palms on city property produced excess fruit this year, so they will be trimmed to reduce droppings.
Workers will begin in the Capistrano Beach Palisades area and move west through the city. Officials expect that crews will be in the Monarch Beach area, which sits on city limits, by the middle of November. Information: (949) 248-3554.
