Pop-Rock at Block to Fight Smoking
Orange County pop-rock band Corday will play a free show Saturday at the Block at Orange to promote Red Ribbon Week in Orange County, an anti-smoking campaign.
Group lead singer and songwriter Jennifer Corday also is a substitute teacher in the Orange Unified School District, and her band will play at various campuses later this month to encourage teens not to smoke.
The group is working on a new album that is scheduled to include “Inhale,” a song Corday wrote after a friend was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Saturday’s performance will run from 6 to 10 p.m. on a stage outside the AMC 30 multiplex movie theater and will feature informational booths hosted by anti-smoking and health agencies.
The Block is at 20 City Drive West.
