McCullough Helps Saugus Run Over Burroughs, 26-15

Brandon McCullough rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns in 23 carries to lead Saugus High to a 26-15 victory over Burroughs in a Foothill League game Friday night at Canyon.
Chris Ahlheim of Saugus completed nine of 21 passes for 174 yards. He scored on a one-yard sneak with 3:29 to play to give the Centurions a 26-7 lead.
McCullough had scoring runs of one, seven and 11 yards. The latter two touchdowns came on successive drives in the third and fourth quarters.
Saugus (3-4, 1-1 in league play) recovered a fumbled kickoff return by Mike Perez at the Burroughs 20-yard line, setting up McCullough’s third touchdown that gave Saugus a 19-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.
Burroughs (2-5, 1-1) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a three-yard touchdown run by Perez, who finished with 57 yards in 13 carries.
Lorin Salmon of Burroughs completed 16 of 29 passes for 152 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown to Keith Jarbo with 39 seconds to play. Jarbo had nine receptions for 139 yards.
