Granada Hills 3, Taft 2--Kristin Rodner’s run-scoring single in the 14th inning lifted the Highlanders in a West Valley League game at Granada Hills.
Kelly Zakosek was four for seven, including two doubles and one RBI, for Granada Hills (13-11, 5-1).
Van Nuys 3, Sylmar 2--Nancy Lopez scored the winning run for the Wolves on a throwing error with two out in the seventh inning of a Valley Mission League game at Van Nuys.
Casondra Acosta allowed seven hits with six strikeouts for the Spartans (10-9, 4-2).
Marisa Mochizuki had two hits and two RBIs for Van Nuys (11-10, 4-2).
