Topping, Oaks Lead Titans to Victory

Jenny Topping hit her 13th home run and Gina Oaks pitched three hitless innings to help Cal State Fullerton complete a sweep of UC Santa Barbara with a five-inning, 8-0 victory in a Big West Conference softball game Sunday at Fullerton.
Oaks, who improved to 16-6, struck out four of the nine batters she faced. Junior Christy Robitaille pitched the final two innings and allowed two hits.
The ninth-ranked Titans improved to 41-11 overall and 14-1 in the Big West Conference. Their next victory will be the 1000th in the program’s history.
