Woman Found Dead in Car Outside Bar

Heat and alcohol may have contributed to the death Monday of a 47-year-old Santa Paula woman who fell asleep in a car, authorities said Tuesday.
Amparo Pimintal was found dead about 7:30 p.m. in a friend’s sedan outside a bar near 5th Street East and Oxnard Boulevard, said Det. Randey Cole of the Oxnard Police Department.
Pimintal decided to stay in the car and nap while two friends went inside the bar. Pimintal had consumed several alcoholic beverages Sunday evening and her body temperature had topped 105 degrees, Cole said.
