Irvine University 3, Aliso Niguel 2--Alec Mills, who had two goals and an assist, scored the game winner in the 65th minute on an assist from Jenn Marquand and visiting University (3-1) upset the top-ranked team in the Southland.
Stacy Lindstrom scored both goals for Aliso Niguel (5-2).
West Hills Chaminade 4, Ventura Buena 1--Four players scored for host Chaminade (7-2) in the Eagles’ upset of sixth-ranked Buena (5-2).

In boys’ soccer:
Irvine Woodbridge 6, Riverside Poly 1--Kevin Long and California-bound Pieter Berger each scored two goals for visiting Woodbridge (3-0) in a nonleague game.
Long has six goals for the Warriors, the top-ranked team in the nation by Student Sports magazine.

In boys’ basketball:
Redondo 64, Moreno Valley Canyon Springs 47--Adam Zahn had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Redondo, the sixth-ranked team in the region by The Times.
Keith Ellison had 19 points and four assists for the Seahawks, who held No. 25 Canyon Springs to 32.8% shooting from the field.
Tron Smith scored 20 points for Canyon Springs.
Placentia El Dorado 63, Pasadena Blair 48--Kyle Miller scored 18 points for No. 22 El Dorado (7-0) in pool play of its own tournament.

In girls’ basketball:
Newhall Hart 77, La Crescenta Crescenta Valley 50--Amanda Patton scored all 24 of her points in the first half for ninth-ranked Hart (6-1) before sitting out most of the second half of a nonleague game at Crescenta Valley.
Hart scored a school-record 35 points in the first quarter.
Rialto Eisenhower 56, Riverside Poly 28--Jasmine Clarendon had 18 and 12 rebounds, all in the first half, for 25th-ranked Eisenhower (5-0). Riverside Poly is 2-3.
