Volunteers from the Conejo Valley Retired & Senior Volunteer Program will answer questions about health insurance or long-term care for seniors and their families.
Anyone interested can make an appointment to meet with a counselor between 9 and 11 a.m. on the first or third Thursday of the month.
“This year has been very difficult for seniors in this area,” said Louise Daniel, director of the program.
“And we’ve been getting more business, because of all the recent changes in health care.”
Upcoming counseling days include Thursday and March 1 or 15 at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.
Appointments are required, and the service is free.
The service is coordinated by the Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program, which is not affiliated with Medicare or with any insurance company or HMO.
To make an appointment or for information, call 381-2742.
