Festival
With some 50,000 camellia plants, consisting of more than 800 varieties, Descanso Gardens is home to the largest camellia forest in America. So it’s only appropriate that Descanso Gardens will be the site of a camellia festival Saturday and Sunday. Some 20 acres of camellia plants, some soaring as high as 30 feet, will be in full bloom. Guided walks, a flower show, pruning demonstrations, camellia waxing and musical entertainment will contribute to this weekend event.
