Mani Bros. Real Estate Investment has purchased for $36 million an office high-rise at 9000 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood that features the largest mural advertisement on the Strip.
The property was acquired from a partnership that includes ING Realty Partners and Jupiter Realty, said broker Cushman Realty Corp.
The building is home to a variety of entertainment-related tenants, including New Line Productions and the offices of actor Nicolas Cage’s production company. It is 96% leased.
The high-rise is the second major Sunset Strip property purchased by Mani Bros., a family-controlled real estate firm that owns and manages more than 1 million square feet of Los Angeles area commercial real estate.
The Los Angeles firm also owns Piazza del Sol, a vintage Sunset Boulevard office building, in addition to Figueroa Tower in downtown Los Angeles, Portofino Plaza in Santa Monica and numerous other properties.
The west face of the 140,000-square-foot Sunset Strip building features a 12-story-tall promotion for HBO cable network.
