Sares-Regis Wins OK for Pico Rivera Project

Irvine-based Sares-Regis Group has obtained approval from the Pico Rivera City Council for a 160-acre industrial and retail development at a former Northrop Grumman aerospace facility at the southwest corner of Washington and Rosemead boulevards. City officials expect Sares-Regis to begin demolishing existing buildings at the site in the spring and begin construction by late summer, said Ann Negendank, Pico Rivera assistant city manager. The industrial buildings would range from 20,000 to 350,000 square feet, and the project would include 55 acres for major retailers to be developed by Phoenix-based Vestar Development Co., Negendank said.
