Just as El Camino Real (7-10, 2-0) started to get on a roll with five consecutive wins, the team learned that leading scorer and rebounder Chris Manson will be out for six weeks with a stress fracture in his foot sustained last Wednesday against Birmingham. Manson is possibly lost for the rest of the season, according to Coach John Gould.

William Savala, Monroe High’s leading scorer, has left school, Coach Don Loperena said Monday.
Savala, who was averaging 14 points and 6.5 rebounds, has checked out of Monroe High because of family reasons. He left the team in mid-December.
