In nonleague girls’ water polo:
Carlsbad 5, Santa Margarita 4--With 59 seconds remaining, Katy Kunkel’s second goal pulled the host Eagles (9-6) to within 5-4, but their final shot missed high.
Edison 20, Cypress 1--Junior Melissa Murphy scored a school-record 11 goals for host Edison (9-5).
