Body of Missing Student Found in El Salvador

The body of a missing Diablo Valley College student was recovered early Tuesday off the coast of El Salvador, family members said. Authorities believe Francis Geremias Aparicio, 19, drowned, but they told his family that they are still investigating.
The Pittsburg student had joined classmates on a humanitarian trip to El Salvador on May 25 to assist earthquake victims. Aparicio was last seen several days ago, standing in stormy waters near the coastline.
A 7.6-magnitude earthquake rocked El Salvador on Jan. 13. A second temblor struck in February.
