Here’s to Living Trees

Steel-tree manufacturer Bennett Abrams has spent too much time inside (“The Art of Reforestation,” So SoCal, Jan. 21). He believes the demise of the tree will sprout in the next century. Does he hope to scare people into buying plastic? We are smarter than that. Living trees not only give us oxygen and medicinal properties, but also shade, sweet smells and everlasting beauty. They are here to stay.
