Two Weekend Concerts Set by Anglican Chorale

The Anglican Chorale of Southern California is presenting a weekend concert series, which begins at 7:30 p.m. today at Glendale Presbyterian Church. It continues at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Hollywood.
The two-day event will start this evening with “Expressions of Faith,” featuring the works of the Anglican Chorale, as well as Edward Bairstow’s “Lord, Thou Hast Been Our Refuge.” Works by Gibbons, Howells, Martin and Tallis will also be performed.
The 35-member Anglican Chorale will be under the direction of James A. Person, with Philip A. Smith as accompanist and organist.
Glendale Presbyterian Church is at 125 S. Louise St. Admission is $10, $8 for seniors and students.
The “Evensong” Sunday concert at St. Thomas the Apostle, 7501 Hollywood Blvd., will feature the works of C.V. Stanford and Richard Shepherd. A free-will offering will be collected for the ministry work of St. Thomas. Information: (909) 599-5255.
