No. 11 Virginia Cruises Behind Mason, 85-62

Roger Mason Jr. scored 20 points and No. 11 Virginia routed East Tennessee State, 85-62, Sunday at Charlottesville, Va.
Adam Hall scored 19 points for Virginia (2-0), Travis Watson had 14 and 13 rebounds and Chris Williams scored 13 points.
Zakee Wadood and Jerald Fields each had 12 points for East Tennessee State (1-1).
Virginia led, 42-31, at halftime.
No. 12 Memphis 97, Northwestern State 69--Freshman Dajuan Wagner scored 26 points, including 19 in the second half, for the Tigers at Memphis, Tenn.
Kelly Wise had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Memphis (3-0). Anthony Rice scored 14 points and Antonio Burks scored 11.
Melvin Roberts led Northwestern State (0-2) with 13 points.
No. 17 Boston College 82, Boston University 65--Kenny Walls made five three-point baskets in the first half and finished with 21 points for Boston College in its opener.
Billy Collins led Boston (1-2) with 12 points.
It was the first game between the schools since Jan. 30, 1981.
No. 21 Syracuse 103, Binghamton 56--Preston Shumpert tied a career high with 36 points for the Orangemen (3-0) at Syracuse, N.Y.
The Orangemen took control with a 21-0 run midway through the first half, holding Binghamton (1-1) without a point for more than six minutes.
Binghamton is in its first Division I season.
No. 22 Indiana 65, Charlotte 61--Tom Coverdale scored 18 points and made two free throws with 16 seconds to play as the Hoosiers overcame a slow start at Charlotte, N.C., to win their fourth consecutive season opener.
Curtis Nash scored 15 points for Charlotte (1-1).
