Bones of Marsupial Lion, Giant Kangaroos Found

Cavers came across the skeletal remains of 16-foot-high kangaroos, pony-sized wombats and flesh-eating marsupial lions in deep sinkholes in the Australian outback, scientists said.
The prize among a treasure trove of bones in Western Australia state is a near-perfect skeleton of a marsupial lion, thought to have died out 46,000 years ago.
Thylacoleo carnifex had piercing lower incisors, huge teeth and limbs adapted for climbing and grasping, not running.
