An Encino telemarketer who duped businesses across the nation into buying overpriced and defective toner for copying machines was sentenced Wednesday to 26 months in federal prison.
Danny Yahalom, 36, operator of International Business Network Inc., pleaded guilty earlier this year to mail fraud, tax conspiracy and filing a false tax return.
Prosecutors said Yahalom’s company bilked nearly three dozen businesses, including Sprint PCS, Toyota Tsusho and Safeco Insurance Co., out of about $150,000.
