Man Killed in Gang Shooting

A 29-year-old Pacoima man was shot and killed in a gang-related ambush New Year’s morning, a Los Angeles police detective said Wednesday.
Peter Regalado was shot in the head and chest several times with a semiautomatic pistol about 7:20 a.m. in the 10700 block of Haddon Avenue, said Det. Frank Bishop of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division.
Although Regalado had gang ties, police have no suspects in the slaying, Bishop said, adding that it appeared the killer was lying in wait.
Regalado was shot as he closed the gate to his driveway as he left for work, Bishop said.
