Drug Bust Diary

I have a great idea. Let’s pull the DEA, state and local agents who have been busting medical marijuana cooperatives and patients by the score and put them to work in the Central Valley against methamphetamine production (‘Meth Lab Crackdown Dealt a Setback,” Jan. 20). It seems police would prefer spending their time and our tax dollars busting peaceful small-time marijuana growers rather than take on scary meth manufacturers.
Instead of crying for federal money, why not redirect our resources more in line with what the voters intended when they passed Proposition 215 in 1996?
