Trabuco Hills Hires Girls’ Basketball Coach

Roger Williams, former La Mirada High boys’ basketball coach, has been hired as girls’ basketball coach at Mission Viejo Trabuco Hills High.
Williams, who lives in Aliso Viejo, is also the girls’ softball coach at Trabuco Hills. He remains a teacher at La Mirada High. Williams played basketball at Villa Park High and Cypress College.
In other personnel moves:
* Mike Roberts will replace Jim Dietz as wrestling coach and Todd Hilton will take over girls’ cross-country from Mark Fitzpatrick at Murrieta Valley High. Dietz and Fitzpatrick resigned their coaching positions at the school.
Former Venice High coach Dave Goosen has been hired to coach boys’ basketball at Burbank High. Goosen was at Venice for five seasons but did not coach last season. He inherits a Burbank team that went 15-10 last season.
