Business Scandals: Fix the Problem, Move On
- Share via
Dan Sheehy’s June 30 letter has left me dumbfounded. While he astutely points out the role the terrorist attacks and subsequent war had “in damaging our economy and shattering our confidence,” he blames the Clinton administration for the emerging corporate scandals.
Had it not been for the strong economy built during the Clinton administration we would never have rebounded economically from Sept. 11. If Sheehy wants to point fingers at former President Clinton for the big-business mess then he must also point them at the Newt Gingrich/Bob Dole Republican-led Congress and its so-called contract with America. While Washington and the unwitting public choose to play the blame game, the evildoer terrorists are regrouping in Lebanon right in front of everybody’s eyes. Fix the damn problem and move on!
