Pilot Dies, Son Injured in Emergency Landing

A pilot was killed and his son injured when their single-engine plane crash-landed on a residential street in Leesburg, outside Washington.
The pilot, apparently on a recreational flight, radioed that he had developed engine trouble shortly after takeoff, and the small plane broke apart during the emergency landing, said Doug McNeely, director of Leesburg Executive Airport.
