Surgeon Without License Gets 14-Year Term

A former cosmetic surgeon was sentenced to more than 14 years in state prison for performing breast augmentations without a license.
Abdolvahad Pirnia, 67, received the maximum sentence from Riverside County Superior Court Judge Dennis A. McConaghy.
Pirnia was sentenced to eight years for one count of mayhem and six years and four months for eight counts of operating without a license and causing great bodily injury. He was convicted of operating on at least eight women after his license was suspended in 2000.
