UC Study Reports Rise in Long Commutes

Long-distance commutes from home to work, along with traffic and parking problems, have increased in Santa Barbara, according to a UC Santa Barbara study.
More than 10,000 people travel to the city from the northern part of the county and Ventura County. High housing costs and limited high-paying jobs in the city have pushed out many with middle incomes.
