Head of Press-Enterprise Newspaper to Retire

Marcia McQuern, editor, publisher and chief executive of the Press-Enterprise, will retire in October after 30 years at the newspaper.
McQuern, 59, who worked as a reporter and city editor at the paper during her three decades there, was named publisher in 1994. The Press-Enterprise’s daily circulation grew from 116,000 to more than 185,000 in that time.
