* Computer Motion Inc., a Santa Barbara-based developer of surgical robotic systems, said its net loss narrowed to $4.93 million, or 29 cents a share, for the second quarter, from $5.36 million, or 53 cents, a year ago, as revenue grew 27% to $5.06 million.
* Troy Group Inc., a Santa Ana maker of digital check-printing and payment systems, posted second-quarter net income of $30,000, or less than 1 cent a share, contrasted with a year-ago loss of $1.6 million, or 15 cents. Sales jumped 43% to $14 million.
